Sambazon, the global leader in Acai, recently launched their most mainstream effort to date, Sambazon Antioxidant Elixir. Antioxidant Elixir(TM) is an organic revitalizing beverage that provides powerful antioxidants and 600% DV Vitamin C, yet remains refreshingly light on calories, sugar, and contains no fat. Sweetened naturally with agave and infused with a blend of acai, acerola, and the finest organic botanical extracts, this is truly a powerful concoction of ingredients. Contains only 70 calories per serving (about 100 per bottle).

BevNET Review: If you’re a fan of Sambazon’s acai drinks but want something a little lighter in body (and calories), then this is a great option for you. From a flavor point of view, this USDA Organic 20 percent juice blend still has plenty of acai to go around. Plus there are subtle notes of acerola and agave, which help smooth out the tartness of the fruit. The drink manages to deliver plenty of flavor, but still feel light in the mouth and have only 100 calories per 11 oz. bottle. Nutritionally, the drink has 600 percent of your daily vitamin C, plus 10 percent iron, 2 percent calcium, making for something that’s more than just empty calories. On the packaging front, we love the design of their curved 11 oz. bottle, which excels in both form (it’s unique and looks great) and function (it feels great in your hand). However, the placement of the flavor name seems like it could be improved, especially since the word “organic” catches your eye first based on its placement and visual treatment. Swapping these two elements might be something to consider. Overall, this is a very well-executed product that is definitely Sambazon’s most mainstream and marketable effort to date. It most definitely blows away other mainstream acai efforts that are currently out there.
